- The Tanjore Dancing dolls have featured in many movies, songs & ads. The ones featuring in the Bajaj Platina advertisement were made by Chola Impressions
- It consist of a pair (two dolls) - Male and Female
- On gently tapping the doll, it wobbles and makes a dance like movement with pleasant expression. If kept directly beneath a fan with good amount of wind circulation, the head keeps dancing
- Each doll has 4 parts - Head, Torso, Skirt and Legs pivoted on each other. Each part moves independently in a coherent manner
- The doll is Water resistant as resin is used. As a result the colour never fades and it will be shiny always. It can be wiped with a slightly wet cloth for cleaning purpose. Please note that it should not be immersed in water.
- The doll pair is unbreakable as compared to the papier mache dolls which break when falls. Please note that too much force should not be applied - not suited for children's playing
