- This is the most traditional portrayal of Lord Shiva and Devi Parvati on Nandi. Nandi is referred as the Rishanha Vaahanam of Shiva, means the mount of Shiva. This portrayal is also known as the Pradosha moorthy. During the time of Pradosham, the festival idol of Shiva with Parvathi in a seated pose on Nandi is taken as a procession in the temple complex. This painting can be worshipped during pradosham which is an ideal time to worship lord Shiva
